Mosul, Iraq is where Global Response Management got its footing. Over the course of 9 months GRM ran a series of Trauma Stabilization Points and Emergency medicine clinics that served 10,000 patients, many of whom were catastrophically injured during the fighting. Our teams worked closely with other NGO entities to establish a functional trauma referral network that covered almost 100 square miles of territory and expanded to multiple hospitals throughout multiple cities. During our time there, data indicates that over 94% of patients treated at our field stabilization points survived to get treatment at designated hospitals.
Currently, GRM still assists local Not-for-profits in assisting IDP (Internally Displaced Persons) and Refugees with healthcare needs and access to basic healthcare equipment such as walkers, hospital beds and prosthetics. In the near future, GRM hopes to return to the area to continue our medical work by providing mobile healthcare clinics to IDP and Refugee camps providing services such as: Dentistry, Optometry, Primary Healthcare, Emergency Medicine and Vaccinations.
